Get Your Own Facebook URL



Friendster have had this feature for a long time now. Facebook follows suit.

The ever-growing popular social networking site, Facebook, gives its users another option to personalize their facebook account and homepage. Facebook launches URL customization (they call it ‘username for your profile‘). Now, you can direct friends and family to your profile page with a simple www.facebook.com/username rather than asking them to find you by your full name or email address.

Unlike Friendster though, once you chose a username it will be permanent so choose wisely. Minus points for me. There are people who are fickle-minded (like this blogger) and would prefer to have an option for changing usernames.

Makes me wonder why they made this available only now? It’s not like this is cutting-edge technology, right?
