According to Alan Arnette, episode 1-3 will be aired on the 27th of December, starting at 8PM Eastern Time. The remaining episodes, 4 and 5, will be shown on Wednesday, December 30. Here are the episode descriptions as per Alan:

Episode One covers early trips through the ice fall, David Tait’s summit with the rope fixing team and the ice fall avalanche that killed the Sherpa.
Episode Two concentrates on John Golden’s summit attempt with IMG
Episode Three covers the main IMG team summit on May 20
Episode Four is the first Himex summits on May 21
Episode Five is the second Himex summits on May 23

I know a lot of mountaineers, myself included, are excited to watch the third season. There’s nothing more exciting than watching a bunch of skilled mountaineers battling the elements just to summit the monster that is Mount Everest. By the way, to those who don’t have Discovery Channel, I’m sorry guys I can’t provide any download link for Everest: Beyond The Limit Season 3. That is so illegal.

Apparently, Joseph got mad at Gordon for calling him “stupid”. Hell’s Kitchen Fight brewed after Joseph tells Gordon, “I am not your bitch”. At the end of the premiere episode the ex-marine contestant takes off his chef’s jacket and throws it to the ground, and tells Ramsay to go outside (to continue their brawl, probably). Sources say that this part is staged, to boost the show’s ratings.

“I remember yesterday, the world was so young”

In a country where television is the number one source of entertainment, tv commercials or advertisements outdo each other in terms of memorability, impact and sheer entertainment value. And somehow, people have associated a commercial to the time it was prominently shown on tv screens and the memories that came along with it.

Here are my top 5 classic pinoy tv commercials (in no particular order):

1. Bear Brand’s “Lola let’s dance”

I was around 6 or 7 yrs old when this tv ad became popular. I find it amusing and funny how lolo’s grand-daughters did some sort of modern dance steps while he was dancing the old-fashioned way.

2. McDonalds’ “Karen po”

This is one of the most heartwarming pinoy commercials of all time. We Filipinos are known to value family ties and this commercial hits the right spot in our hearts. However, upon watching and analyzing this video a couple of times, i got a little confused on its premise.

Lolo forgot how Gina and Karen’s faces looked like but his favorite grandkid is still Karen.

Lolo switched their names. He knows her (by face) as Gina.  He calls the real Gina, Karen. Therefore, her favorite grandkid is the real Gina and not the real Karen.

It is a little confusing, no? Your thoughts?

3. San Miguel Beer’s Sabado Nights

The tv campaign ad turned movie that catapulted Ina Raymundo to fame. Who could forget the nice, catchy tune of this commercial? Sabado Nights!!

4. Purefoods Hotdog’s Goodbye Carlo

I almost literally laughed my ass off when I first saw this commercial. This is one of the funniest pinoy tv commercials I have seen.

5. Mr. Clean’s Labadami

This commercial features a very effective jingle. I’m sure every Filipino, at least for once in their lives, have sang along to the lyrics, labadami, labango, labanayad din!

Last season’s finale got me confused and weirded out. Sylar, with the shapeshifting ability, absorbed dead Nathan’s memory, traits and probably DNA structure as well. Now how on earth would you describe him? Is it Sylar-trapped-in-Nathan’s-body? or Nathan-trapped-in-Sylar’s-body? Should we expect a male version of Nikki/Jessica soon? That would be cool, only if it would affect the whole heroes universe. Nikki/Jessica’s dual personality dilemma only inflicted trouble in her own world which made her storyline boring.

According to the preview, (Nathan)Sylar’s figuring-how-things-work power is manifesting and Mommy Petrelli looks too worried. I think it’s safe to assume that he still has all the powers he acquired in the past. It’s freaky and exciting to find out what he’s going to do once the Sylar in him takes over, with the group believing he is Nathan and that Sylar is dead. At least all we could do now is speculate until Heroes returns on its fourth season.
