Cincinnati Reds’ Johnny Vander Meer is the only major league player to have thrown back-to-back no hitters. In 1938, Johnny Vander Meer pitched two consecutive no-hitters. So far, in history, no one has ever duplicated his feat.

Vander Meer no-hit the Boston Braves on June 11, 1938. After four days, he shut down the Brooklyn Dodgers at Ebbets Field.

So far, there have been only 18 perfect games in MLB history. Mark Buerhle is on the spotlight right now for pitching the 18th perfect game against the Tampa Bays at the U.S. Cellular Field. Buerhle became the 24th pitcher to have thrown multiple no-hitters in his entire career.
