Burj Dubai: The Tallest Building in The World
The world’s tallest building, or skyscraper if you may have it, has just opened today.
Burj Dubai is the tallest man-made structure ever built, standing at 828 meters or 2,717 feet. This iconic structure, as well as a project called “Downtown Dubai” is part of the country’’s campaign to become a globalized city.
It has been announced that the total budget for this giant horizontal structure is about US$ 1.5 billion. Recent developments say that office space had reached US$ 4,000 per sq ft.
Burj Dubai has the tallest service elevator in the world. Speed is clocked at 64km/h.

One Tree Hill’s Jana Rae Kramer Engaged
Jana Rae Kramer, of One Tree Hill fame, recently got engaged to actor Jonathon Schaech. The proposal took place at Schaech’s hometown at Edgewood, Maryland last December 22. Schaech recalls it as “the happiest moment of his life”. Schaech had a skating rink reserved for the magic moment.
The inseperable couple started dating while filming the movie Prom Night which stars both of them. Jonathon Schaech was married to actress Christina Applegate before they got divorced in 2007.
The proposal was captured and eternalized on video and can be seen at Schaech’s Facebook fan page.

Everest: Beyond The Limit 2009
Season 3 of Everest: Beyond The Limit will be premiering this 27th of December. Everest: Beyond the Limit is Discovery’s reality tv show about yearly attempts to summit the world’s highest mountain, Mount Everest. This yearly expedition to summit Mt. Everest is organized and led by Russel Brice.
According to Alan Arnette, episode 1-3 will be aired on the 27th of December, starting at 8PM Eastern Time. The remaining episodes, 4 and 5, will be shown on Wednesday, December 30. Here are the episode descriptions as per Alan:
Episode One covers early trips through the ice fall, David Tait’s summit with the rope fixing team and the ice fall avalanche that killed the Sherpa.
Episode Two concentrates on John Golden’s summit attempt with IMG
Episode Three covers the main IMG team summit on May 20
Episode Four is the first Himex summits on May 21
Episode Five is the second Himex summits on May 23
I know a lot of mountaineers, myself included, are excited to watch the third season. There’s nothing more exciting than watching a bunch of skilled mountaineers battling the elements just to summit the monster that is Mount Everest. By the way, to those who don’t have Discovery Channel, I’m sorry guys I can’t provide any download link for Everest: Beyond The Limit Season 3. That is so illegal.

Mercy Me Bus Crash Update
Here’s an update to the Mercy Me bus crash. Apparently, there have been another casualty to the accident. The pregnant driver, Kara Klinker, who is badly injured has lost the baby inside her womb. She is in critical condition. Our prayers go to the 3 souls who passed away and to Kara Klinker. We hope she survives this ordeal. This is so disheartening, I must say.

What is the exact UFC 101 start time? I know a lot of people are excited with the upcoming UFC 101 fight. I can’t wait either. But what is the exact schedule of UFC 101? Well, for those not familiar with the scheds, UFC 101 will start at exactly 10:00PM Eastern Time this Saturday August 8, 2009.
Mercy Me Accident – 2 killed, 1 injured
Christian band Mercy Me’s tour bus was involved in an accident today in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The band that popularized the song “I can only imagine”, was supposed to have a concert at Six Flags theme park in St. Louis Missouri.
